The story of TBC.

Founded by people who fell in love with espresso at a time when most of Iraq still drank Nescafé out of a sachet. Today we equip the country's best cafés, restaurants, and hotels — and we still believe the espresso is the part that matters.

Our story

Built around the bar.

Themaralbasra Company (TBC) — also operating under the trading name World Of Italian Coffee — is one of the first Iraqi companies specialized in equipping cafés, restaurants, and hotels with coffee machines, equipment, accessories, and the full range of hot and cold beverage supplies.

From our first showroom on Al-Wufud Street in Basra, we grew to three branches and exclusive distribution agreements with some of the world's most respected coffee brands — FAEMA, Dimello, DeLonghi, MONIN, Philips, Dolce Gusto, Al Ameed, Mehmet Efendi, and many more.

What hasn't changed: we still install every machine ourselves, and we still answer the phone when it breaks.

What we believe

Three principles.

A small company can be lucky. A long-running one has to be principled.

The espresso is the point.

If the espresso isn't right, nothing else matters. Every machine we sell, every grinder we calibrate, every barista we train — it's all in service of the cup.

A real warranty, not a sticker.

One year of free maintenance, every machine, no exceptions. We can offer it because we don't sell things we can't fix.

Cafés are partners.

Our customers stay with us for years because we behave like part of their business. Free HORECA delivery, fast call-outs, stock priority — these aren't promotions, they're how we work.
